Quick start

1. Record your voice (or pick a video to voice over).
2. Choose how it speaks: a cartoon avatar, or take a selfie to make your own photo talk.
3. Customize: add effects, emojis, and timed captions.
4. Create the video, then Save or Share it.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. You can create and export as many videos as you like for free. Exported videos include a small “Made with Avatar Studio” tag. You can remove it forever with a single one-time purchase.

How do I remove the watermark?

On the preview screen, tap Remove watermark and confirm the one-time purchase. Already bought it (or got a new phone)? Tap Restore in the same spot to bring your purchase back at no charge.

My selfie isn’t “talking” — why?

The app looks for a face in your photo. If it can’t find one clearly, the photo gently pulses instead of moving its mouth. Try a well-lit, front-facing photo where your face is clearly visible.

Does my voice or photo get uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is processed on your device. Avatar Studio has no servers and does not collect any data. It even works offline. See our Privacy Policy.

The video is taking a long time to create.

Exporting renders every frame on your device, which can take longer for longer recordings or on older devices. Keep the app open while it finishes. You can cancel anytime and try a shorter clip.

Which permissions does the app need, and why?

• Microphone — to record your voice.
• Camera — to take a selfie that can talk.
• Speech Recognition — to show an on-device transcript (optional).
• Photos (add) — to save your finished videos.

You can manage these in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
